February 2022 Recap

Winter started off slow - January was cold and fairly dry. February changed everything! Consistent storms brought in a good amount of snow, and we were able to get outside and do plenty of skiing. Downhill skiing has become overly congested over the past few years, and even midweek skiing can often be crowded, so we once again focused a great deal on XC skiing this winter season and we can’t complain about it.

January 2022 Recap

We’re going to try to stick to posting videos and blog posts more consistently this year. January was off to a pretty slow start, with heavy rains in Southern New Hampshire in most of December and first part of January, we felt like we were living in the Pacific Northwest.

Not that there’s something wrong with the Pacific Northwest - in fact, we LOVE the lushness that the rainy weather brings - the moss turns iridescent green, signaling rebirth in the forest floor.

Lincoln Woods Trail (Franconia Falls)

Sometimes the best medicine is a good, long walk in the woods. For what I assume is a reward for good behavior throughout the pandemic the White Mountain National Forest began opening some of their trails back up this past weekend. Hiking isn’t just the simple act of walking for us. It feeds our soul and gives us the energy and overall happiness we need in order to be our best selves.
